Dhammakaya International Meditation Center

Azusa, CA

Dhammakaya International Meditation Center (DIMC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to teaching meditation to promote inner peace through the principals of Buddhism.

Nestled against the foothills and surrounded by the Rosedale Neighborhood, which was the former Monrovia Nursery, the DIMC project includes a 4 story Meditation Center designed to create a serene retreat to promote the teachings of Buddha and seek inner peace through meditation. The approximately 12 acre property is located in the City of Azusa and is also masterplanned to provide organizational housing in 8 dormitory buildings for both staff and guests to the facility. A green roof terrace, landscaped gardens and existing mature trees and ornamental landscape provides a complementary background for the new structures.

The architectural style is pristine and designed to not detract from the existing historical MacNeil Mansion on the property. Open balconies and large windows provide the light structure desired to express the pure harmony indigenous to the Dhammakaya principals.
